Blooming with joy - Planning a floral themed baby shower

If you're looking for a theme that is both elegant and charming, consider a "Baby in Bloom" baby shower! My latest whimsical Baby in Bloom watercolor artwork was inspired by the marigold blooms in my garden and in the sweet center spot I imagined a baby nestled into the soft petals whilst coming into bloom!

So why host a "Baby in Bloom" Shower?
Planning a baby shower is an exciting time, filled with anticipation and joy as you prepare to welcome a new little one into the world. This delightful theme is all about celebrating the beauty and blossoming of new life. It's fresh and offers a wealth of opportunities for stunning floral decorations, delicious visual treats, and memorable activities.

Flourishing with floral fun
Make your event stunning with a choice of pink or my neutral orange yellow margold tones designs. Whether you're expecting a boy or a girl, or keeping the gender a surprise, the "Baby in Bloom" theme can be tailored to suit your preferences. You don't need to be a professional florist either to pull this theme off, use floral arrangements as centerpieces, hang flower garlands, balloon arches adorned with flowers, mason jar centerpieces or you can even just use DIY paper flowers! As for drinks go that step futher and add some floral-infuson to your party drinks, delicate finger sandwiches with radish flowers), and a cake adorned with edible flowers, for the my orange version use Calendula although you can use French Margolds too, however I find them to be slightly more bitter. The possibilities for floral fun is endless! So go set the scene and get your guests excitied with my easy to personalize floral-themed invitations.

As for activities consider a flower arranging station, a "guess the flower" game, or a "plant a seed" activity where guests can plant seeds in a small pot to take home. Alongside my hands on games amp up the fun with a choice of doubled sided game sheets, which can be run, with extra fun as first to finish wins a prize activities. You can also create a "build-your-own-flower-pot" dessert station with various toppings and fillings for a sweet ending to your party. You will certainly find no problems keeping your guests entertained with this theme! More than just a shower, a Baby in Bloom celebration is a beautiful way to welcome a new life into the world. It's a chance to gather with loved ones, shower the parents-to-be with love and support, and create lasting memories that will blossom for years to come.

The wonders of a new Spring in the UK

Having returned back to the UK from Australia this was the first UK Spring for me in over five years. It has been a delightful revelation to see the transition from the miserable dullness of winter, to the amazing mass flourish of green leaves and pretty flowers. Despite being time poor and still without space to produce my art. I managed to complete a few paintings of the blooms that really caught my eye this spring here in Dorset, England and I have taken plenty of sketches and photos for potential future works once I get more time and space to work again. Below is links to my new Spring watercolor artworks, designed to work on various products including wedding invitations, cards, gift papers and fabrics.
