Horsin’ around on a whimsical rocking horse

I have been busy horsin' around in pan watercolors to create my latest rocking horse artwork. This cute whimsical artwork was produced for my daughters bedroom initially. However I decided to scan this little rocker and create various products for other little girls whom love toy rocking horses to enjoy too.

Picture shows my artwork at the finishing stage and the paint pallet and brushes I used. Here are just a few of the products and color variations I produced from this cute watercolor painting.

Slogan Maternity t-shirts

Having a baby?

So your periods have stopped, your breasts are swollen like watermelons, you are tired all the time, frequently urinating and just getting over bouts of severe nausea. Congratulations and welcome to parenthood!

If you are struggling to get into your normal clothes, don't worry the baby is growing and that is good sign, but now is a good time to embrace your new blooming shape during your pregnancy with a tee. A simple t-shirt teamed up with stretch pants, maternity jeans, or soft cotton trousers is a great way to mix and match your look and keep you and baby comfortable.

It can be difficult at times to see the lighter side of pregnancy, so my designs are mainly light hearted to help lighten the mood and warn others of your increasing bump. These maternity t-shirts are designed with your new shape in mind and are longer than normal t-shirts and so they don't ride up at the bump. Here is a selection of the designs I have available in my little eden zazzle store.

All about time

The 'my little eden' learn to tell the time clock is available in various designs from my zazzle store and can be personalized with your child’s name. So popular now is this design it has even been chosen by zazzle to be sold directly through Amazon, much to my delight.

My uniquely designed clock was initially made for my son as a paper clock guide, enabling him to draw in the hands or to use with paper hands. Drawing on my previous experience working on educational products, I developed my clock to fit my needs in teaching my son the time. The clock particularly helped him to understand the 'past the hour' and 'to the hour' part of telling time as this was color coded.

However since zazzle introduced fully working clocks this artwork is now available to you as a fully functional working clock for your child's bedroom or play room, perfect for helping your child too also understand how to tell the time.

Teaching anyone to tell time can be a difficult prospect without a clear clock guide, so my clock design is clear with easy to read numbers and a color coded guide to assist with learning to read the clock face.

Here is a small selection of my learn to tell the time clocks. More color combinations to co-ordinate with your child's bedroom or play room can be found in my little eden store on zazzle.

Abstraction with an Ember Glow Haze

My latest paintings is certainly on a much larger size than I am used to! This modern art abstract painting is entitled Ember Glow Haze in warm scarlet red hues with a soft smoke haze painted overlay.

The concept for this work came from the coal fire that burnt during the summer in Gippsland, Australia. It was my way of expressing the warmth given out from community at what was a very difficult time.

My one year old daughter gives you a idea
of the scale of this art piece, prior to hanging

I painted this work outside, soon after the coal face burning disaster, it is painted on a very large canvas with Liquitex acrylic paints. It was very liberating to be painting outside and embracing the smoke free fresh again, which I hope I expressed in the softness and strength of this work.

A canvas print is now available to purchase from several of my outlet stores, the art print can also be purchased on other products.

Need more sleep

Although it has been awhile since the birth of my daughter I'm still without a good nights sleep!  Despite my continuing sleep deprivation, I decided to look at the more humorous side of raising a baby and designed this yawning t-shirt. Ideal for new parents in need of a little sleepy humor. Slogan reads Need More (yawn) Sleep.
